Do you want to keep rowing over winter?
Canberra Rowing Club will be running a school rowing program over winter to keep you on the water.
Canberra Rowing Club Schools Winter Program supports aspiring Youth and Junior rowers over the winter months to continue their rowing journey. The program centres on developing core rowing skills to improve technique, fitness and strength.
The Program is aimed at rowers and coxswains within school years 10 to 12 and beyond, or with two or more seasons of school rowing experience.
Space is limited on the program, so early registration of interest is recommended.
Sessions will be focused on technique and skills acquisition, with the opportunity to row and scull in all boat sizes. An ex-Australian team coxswain will be participating in the program to assist those seeking to advance their coxing careers.
The School Winter Program will run from mid-June to the end of September (or recommencement of school programs) with 2 on water weekly sessions, and some off the water training.
The School Winter Program cost is $150 per athlete. This cover all costs for the duration of the program and a Winter Program T-shirt. This must be paid to the club treasurer prior to the program commencing.
AFTER THE PROGRAM
At the program’s conclusion, all rowers currently in years 10 or 11 will re-join their respective schools program (Mid-October). All year 12 rowers, or other rowers not in a school program, will have the opportunity to join the CRC women’s or men’s squad programs.
