PROGRAMS
Club Grade and Open Squad
This is Club’s competitive racing squad for female and male rowers aged 16 and over, who race in Open races and grades A to D. The program is run by Head Coach and Rowing ACT Life Member, Mark Kwiatkowski, and involves coordinated coaching sessions and regular racing at local and interstate regattas in a range of boat classes.
Masters Squad
This is the Club’s competitive racing squad for rowers wishing to compete in Masters events. The program is run by Masters Head Coach and Vice Captain, Dermot Balaam, and involves coordinated coaching sessions and regular racing at local and interstate regattas in a range of boat classes.
Intermediate Squad
Aimed at rowers who haven’t rowed for a while and want to get back into competing and graduates from our Learn to Row program. This program supports rowers to improve skills and confidence and graduate to the Club’s Club Grade and Open Squad and Masters Squad.
UC and CRC Rowing
Run in partnership with the University of Canberra, this program supports students continuing to row through the Club’s Club Grade and Open Squad.
Schools Winter Rowing
Aimed at rowers and coxswains in years 10 to 12, or with two or more seasons of school rowing experience and run over the Winter months. This is a great program for gaining new skills and confidence in the off-season.
Learn to Row
The Club’s new six-week program provides all the coaching and support you will need in a welcoming and fun environment. The program aims to ready rowers for a transition to the Club’s Intermediate Squad.
Corporate Rowing
An annual program run over four-week in October and November providing corporate teams with a unique teambuilding experience.
